LaMia Bryant, MPH, MSW
As the Assistant Director of Family Services at the Health Promotion Council, LaMia oversees multiple contractual and grant funded programs and subcontracts to ensure success of goals and timely deliverable completion. While overseeing the implementation of new initiatives designed to assist children and families with special needs, she supervises managers, nurses, social workers, case navigators and coordinators within a few home-visiting programs and a health insurance navigation program. LaMia conducts weekly clinical supervision with relevant staff reviewing case management strategies, oversight of client progress, finalizing assessments and providing direction for each unique family. LaMia has built linkages with central community organizations and health systems to aid in bridging communication for families with Children & Youth with Special Healthcare Needs and as referral sources. She brings 8 years of nonprofit public health and social services working to help improve the health of vulnerable populations including women, children and immigrants. She earned her Masters of Public Health with a focus in Health Behavior and Health Education and her Masters of Social Work with a focus of Community, Family and Social Systems within Community Organizing from the University of Michigan.
