Tami Robinson, Program Manager

As Program Manager, Tami oversees all student chapter and hospital buddy program operations and supports program growth. She designed and executes StudentsCare’s leadership and volunteer training and offers support to volunteers on an ongoing basis. She also works closely with hospital partners to ensure all programs are running smoothly and meeting goals.

Tami is a teacher at heart and by education, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University. Additionally, she took several Child Life courses through UC Santa Barbara and completed a Child Life practicum and internship at Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Tami has a passion for working with children and worked several years as a substitute teacher while raising her own three children. She has been actively involved in her community serving children of all ages through her church, and as a Cub Scout Den Leader, hospital volunteer, and advocate for families facing cancer through a local support group at Barrows Neurological Center.

Tami’s personal experience as the caregiver to her spouse who has been battling brain cancer since 2006 gives her unique insight into the devastating effects a cancer diagnosis can have on a family. It is this personal experience that drives her passion to serve other families who find themselves facing a serious medical condition. She is grateful for the opportunity to combine this passion, with her love for teaching in her role with StudentsCare serving as an advocate for pediatric patients and their families in a hospital setting.
