We invite you to join our team, as a StudentsCare Intern! Get a “behind the scenes” look at StudentsCare and what it takes to run a national volunteer program, gain valuable experience working directly with nonprofit professionals, and most importantly make a difference in the lives of children & seniors!
Assist StudentsCare National Team with projects such as:
Nominate your school to be a StudentsCare partner! Student interest is one of the criteria we consider, so the more students at your school that fill out this form, the better your chances may be to have a chapter on your campus! Share this page with your fellow students!
If your child is a patient at one of our partnering children’s hospitals, just ask your Child Life Specialist how you can get paired with a StudentsCare Buddy during lengthy hospital stays. Our college student “Buddies” will visit in the hospital on a weekly basis and engage your child in hospital playrooms and at bedside in arts and crafts, reading, games and more!
Now any child (in active treatment) can experience the magic of StudentsCare virtually! Our trained college student Buddies who have previously provided in-person support at local children’s hospitals are now able to offer friendship and fun to your child over a virtual platform. We will pair your child with a caring Buddy who will schedule weekly virtual visits on your schedule. Whether your child is in their hospital room or home living room, our Buddies will bring friendship and fun over the screen!
Are you or your loved one feel lonely? Has Coronavirus isolation have you feeling down? We are now offering virtual/phone visits to provide you/your loved one with friendship and support during these isolating times! Our compassionate and caring college student volunteers are ready to connect with you and bring you hope and joy now, when it is needed most!
Our college student volunteers are friendly and caring and trained to best support your needs. Many have previously volunteered at their local children’s hospital, before the COVID-19 outbreak.
Our students will connect with you by phone/video as often as you like, for up to 3 hours per week! You can use this time to talk about anything you wish! Swap stories and share happy memories. We will work with your facility/caregiver to ensure a good match for you (based on your gender preferences, language, interests, etc)!
Help bring StudentsCare to your facility! We partner with nursing homes, assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, and community organizations that serve seniors. Our college student Buddies have been thoroughly trained to work with vulnerable populations. Most students are pre-med or pursuing other careers in healthcare.
They are caring and compassionate and ready to support your residents! Buddies will be assigned a resident to connect with for up to three hours per week. We will work with you to ensure a good match for your residents (based on gender preferences, language, interests, etc).
Help bring StudentsCare to your facility. We partner with hospitals/outpatient treatment/housing centers that serve long-term pediatric populations and are located near a university.
Rally your employees or group around a meaningful cause! Become a Partner in Care
Even if you are not a student at one of our participating universities, you can still help support our mission by becoming a StudentsCare Ambassador! As a StudentsCare Ambassador you will play an important role in our mission to bring care to hospitalized children and isolated seniors.
Share your time and talents to make a difference!
