Introducing Mukta Vibhute to StudentsCare’s National Team!

04.16. 2021

This April , StudentsCare is happy to bring on one of our Hospital Buddy Program alumni in a new role as a Program Intern. Mukta will be working with our Programs team to support our students, curate training materials, recruit senior and pediatric participants, research funding opportunities, and more!

Mukta Vibhute was born in India and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. She attended the University of Miami, and received her BS in Neuroscience and Marine Science, with minors in Chemistry and French. Mukta is an aspiring physician, and hopes to help the underserved populations in India and other countries around the world. Being the oldest out of a large extended family, Mukta always loved spending time with children, which led her to look for an opportunity where she could be involved in pediatric patient care firsthand.

Her StudentsCare journey began in 2017, when a friend recommended the program to her. When asked to share about her experiences as a StudentsCare Buddy, Mukta said, “StudentsCare has strengthened my empathy and compassion, and it is the reason I will be able to understand not only the clinical needs, but also the emotional needs of my future patients. I am grateful to have this opportunity to be a part of the National Team, and work closely with volunteers to make a difference!”

Mukta will bring such new insights to the StudentsCare National Team as an alumni of the program, so we are so excited to have her aboard, helping make a difference in vulnerable populations nationwide!
