Jessica Altenberger has a Bachelors degree in child development with a minor in bioethics from Michigan State University. She is pursuing a career as a child life specialist and is currently completing her child life internship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Jessica was previously the Chapter Leader of StudentsCare at Michigan State University and helped StudentsCare expand the Hospital Buddy Program. Jessica finds helping children and families discover their own resiliency to be the most impactful part of her job. At MSU Jessica worked on multiple research projects within the Human Development and Family Studies Department and was a member of the Homecoming Court, because of her dedication to serving pediatric patients in the community. She was also a member of the Women’s Leadership Institute and received the College of Social Science Humanitarian Award in 2019. Jessica is so excited to use her child life skills to support the StudentsCare community.
